Wednesday 22nd February – walk *** Circuit at Orwell Country Park – cloudy.

With Mag having an appointment at Ipswich Hospital at 10.30 which gave me just enough time to do my exercises and back a quick lunch. We the hospital soon over and despite the gloom we drove over to Orwell Country Park for our daily walk in the woods which were as lovely as ever, the windy path leads down to the River Orwell with the tide high with a several widgen ducks on the water, it was also great to see a group of youngsters playing on the trees:) We ambled along the foreshore towards the Orwell Bridge in the misty gloom taking a few pics and was very lucky to get it on the BBC National Weather forecast at 6.30 as well as ITV’s About Anglia, with the bad events of late it was great for something nice to happen! We then turn left before the bridge leading to the small holding, the horse is back in the field as we saw black rams, Guinee fowl, hens, sheep, running ducks and geese:) Under the huge bridge and up the path back to the van, it is close to the very noisy A 14! We then take the back lane to Levington Marina for lunch by the river, talking to Swainy and Jamie too:) The tide was very high here, a tad chilly with light winds but loads of wind coming over the next few days, sadly from the north making it cold with the Stour being the best venue but don’t fancy the 50 mile round trip with Mag in her present state so if I do decide to go I might check out Levington and see if I can get out on the foil? Then we had a nice afternoon/evening, my cooking skills are not really improving but I am ace at heating up a Lidl lasagne and Mag supervised me making a sponge which looks OK:)
